The Furies still carry the snake-haired, dark-robed visual language of their myth, but their office is a glass-walled department on Olympus, their caseloads are filed digitally, and their punishments still involve very old, very physical methods. Alecto's role in this system is the one the other two cannot or will not perform: the physical enforcement. Tisiphone reads the file, Megaera feels the outrage, and Alecto picks up the person. She is the unflinching, almost mechanical executor of a sentence already decided.
